BEAMWORKS IN SCHOOLS

school workshop

Within the curriculum, the activity reinforces skills in ICT, science, numeracy, music, visual art and dance as well as offering a new model of kinaesthetic learning.

BEAMworks builds confidence, promotes teamwork and allow individuals to thrive and groups to flourish.

BEAMworks launched a series of workshops for schools, the first of which took place at Hexham Middle School in July 2008. The workshop involved four classes from Year 6 working over two days to create four pieces of work. No traditional instruments were used in the process, as music was created from site specific sounds, with film and images edited and manipulated and then released in performance via movement in front of Soundbeam sensors.

All tutors have degrees, CRB disclosure and public liability insurance; specific references can be obtained for each type of workshop on request, or one is available as a PDF here.

Recomendations from clients are available as a PDF here.
